A seminar on the contributions of Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar ( Baba Sahab) was organised with great enthusiasm at Govt.
Degree College Doongi on the eve of his birth anniversary.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Principal Prof (Dr) Chanchal Angral, who delivered a comprehensive and thought-provoking lecture on the life, philosophy and enduring legacy of Dr Ambedkar. She highlighted his role as the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and a relentless crusader for social justice.
Emphasising the continued relevance of his ideals of liberty, equality and fraternity, the Principal urged students to adopt his values of education, perseverance and moral courage in their lives and contribute meaningfully to nation building.
The seminar witnessed active participation from faculty and students. Semester-II students presented insightful analyses on various aspects of Dr Ambedkar’s work, including constitutional development, women’s empowerment, education and the eradication of caste based discrimination.
Certificates of participation were distributed among the participants.
Khushboo Khan secured first position, while Taniya Sharma and Arjun Sharma stood second and third respectively.
The event was attended by Dr Pratima Bhushan, Dr Zahoor Ahmed, Dr Shreen Dar, Dr Mohd Ikram, Dr Mukhtar Hussain and Dr Mohammed Fareed, who appreciated the students’ participation and encouraged them to follow the teachings of Dr Ambedkar.
The programme was conducted by Dr Mohammed Fareed, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Zahoor Ahmed.
The seminar concluded on an inspiring note with participants reaffirming their commitment to uphold the ideals of equality, justice and fraternity as envisioned by Dr Ambedkar.
