: Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Mandi Poonch Celebrates Raksha Bandhan with Indian Army, Fostering National Integration and Patriotism.

Jammu-Kashmir Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Mandi Poonch marked Raksha Bandhan in a unique and heartfelt way by celebrating the festival with the brave jawans of the Indian Army.
Under the guidance and leadership of Anwar Khan, the Principal, this event was a beautiful display of patriotism, brotherhood, and national integration.
The celebration began with the students and staff handcrafting 125 rakhis, which were lovingly tied to the hands of the Army jawans from the local posted units.
Raksha Bandhan, a festival that symbolizes the love and bond between brothers and sisters, was given a special meaning as it was celebrated with the soldiers who selflessly protect the nation.
The Rakhi making was supervised by Nazak Hussain Shah and Barkat Hussain Senior Lecturers of the school.
In his welcoming address, Principal Anwar Khan spoke of the deep significance of Raksha Bandhan, stressing how the festival promotes trust, love, and a sense of belonging.
"By celebrating Raksha Bandhan with the Army Jawans, we aim to let them know they are not just soldiers but brothers.
They are an integral part of our society, and we stand by them, offering our prayers for their safety, well-being, and success.
Their sacrifices ensure our safety, and this small gesture is a token of our respect and gratitude," he stated.
The ceremony was further graced by the female staff members of the school, Kulwant Kour,Rita Kumari , Sukriti Datta, Jaswinder Kour, and Pushpavati Bali, who personally tied rakhis to the soldiers and shared sweets as a sign of love and admiration.
This gesture was a beautiful reminder of the strong ties between civilians and the armed forces, transcending barriers and fostering unity and national pride.
Additionally, the school administration made sure that even the soldiers who could not attend the event received their share of blessings.
A total of 125 rakhis were given to the local army unit for distribution among the soldiers who were stationed elsewhere, ensuring that every jawan felt included in the festivities.
The Army Subedaar present on the occasion expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards the school for organizing such a meaningful event. He thanked the students and staff for making Raksha Bandhan special for the soldiers, making them feel valued and loved by the nation they serve. The handcrafted rakhis, a symbol of goodwill and brotherhood, left an indelible mark on the hearts of the soldiers.
