: SG GDC Doongi Hosts Collaborative Successful Awareness Programme on SVEEP

JAMMU/RAJOURI/ News Udaan. S G Govt. Degree College Doongi, in collaboration with the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Cell Rajouri, orchestrated a highly impactful awareness programme aimed at enlightening students about the importance of active participation in the electoral process. The collaborative efforts between S G Govt. Degree College Doongi and SVEEP Cell Rajouri underscored their shared vision of fostering this cultural event of electoral literacy for its maximum participation in electoral process of its biggest ever democratic country.   The programme was anchored by Aman Singh of BA Semester II and further perpetuated with an enlightening speech by Dr. Khalid Riyaz, spokesperson of the SVEEP Cell and a respected faculty member from the Department of Geography, Govt. P. G. College Rajouri. Dr. Riyaz’s address delved into the core principles of SVEEP initiatives, emphasizing the importance of voting behaviour in strengthening democracy.   Following Dr. Riyaz’s insightful presentation, Dr. Mohd Iqbal Raina, nodal officer of SVEEP Cell Rajouri and an esteemed faculty from the Department of Physics, Govt. P. G. College Rajouri, took the stage to share his expertise on enhancing electoral participation among the youth. Dr. Raina’s speech resonated with the audience as he highlighted the pivotal role of educational Institutions in nurturing civic/public consciousness and democratic values among students.   The event culminated with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the principal of the college, Prof. Dr. Jaipal Singh. In his address, Dr. Singh expressed sincere gratitude to the spokesperson, the nodal officer of SVEEP Cell Rajouri, faculty of S G GDC Doongi and students for their commitment to promote electoral literacy and civic engagement.
