: Soldier injured in mine blast in poonch, air lifted Tributes to Martyrs

Rotary Club Rajouri Grand and civil society members of Rajouri and Jawahar Nagar areas of Rajouri organised a condolence meet to pay tributes to the martyrs of cross border shelling in twin border districts Rajouri and Poonch.
Atleast nineteen civilians including a senior officer, Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, twin siblings from Poonch and others attained martyrdom in heavy Pakistan shelling on civil population of twin districts from 7th May to 10th May.
Not only the border areas but Pakistan carried out intense shelling on several towns also including Poonch town, Surankote town, Mendhar town, Rajouri town, Nowshera town, Manjakote town.
In this condolence meeting, Rotary Club Rajouri Grand representatives and civil society members kept a two minutes silence to remember all the martyrs souls after which prayers were offered for peace of these departed souls.
Thereafter, floral tributes were paid to the martyrs.
President Rotary Club Rajouri Grand, Dr. Sachin Vaid said that carrying out such an attack on civil population shows barbaric move of Pakistan which even used heavy weaponry to target civil population.
Remembering the services of Martyr ADDC Rajouri, Dr. Raj Kumar Thappa, he said that the martyr officer has left behind an incomparable legacy of professional zeal and enthusiasm towards public services.
" Dr. Thappa won everyone's heart with his pro-public approach, public centric response and efforts to address the issues of common masses." said President of Rotary Club Rajouri Grand, Dr. Sachin Vaid.
He further mentioned about the pro-active and constructive role played by Dr. Thappa during celebration of Rajouri Day in the month of April.
Dr. Thappa will be remembered for ages. said Dr. Sachin Vaid.
